All-on-4 Dental Implants
COST: Starting at $9,999
All-on-4 dental implants are a new way to replace upper and lower teeth without the problems and complications dentures and alternative dental procedures offer. The basic idea of All-on-4 dental implants is instead of replacing each individual tooth, four implants or anchors are inserted into the jaw bone and used to secure the set of artificial teeth. This means only four small holes are drilled – minor surgery using today’s technology. While the All-on-4 dental implant procedure will require the patient a short period of adjustment to their new fittings, individual dental implants can take six months or longer to fully set.
Existing denture wearers know of the many problems that traditional dentures can cause. The most common one is that the dentures do not fit properly, rubbing against the gums and causing irritation. All-on-4 dental implants eliminate the possibility of ill-fitting artificial teeth. Removing and inserting dentures daily involves the possibility of cracking or breaking dentures, increasing the possibility of additional costs and repair or even complete replacement. With the All-on-4 dental implant procedure, new teeth are permanently secured.
Once a patient makes the decision to undergo the All-on-4 dental implant procedure, the implants and teeth can be completed in a single day. Instead of waiting weeks for the mold for dentures to arrive, followed by necessary adjustments to ensure a proper fit, the All-on-4 dental implant process gets our patients back to living a normal eating and conversational life immediately.
All-on-4 Dental Implant Procedure
- A consultation with one of our dentists will be scheduled to determine if the All-on-4 dental implant procedure is the best solution for you. Not everyone will be able to take advantage of its benefits, and only our dentist can assess if it is best for your long term dental health.
- A plan is designed for pre- and post-operative care.
- A series of dental x-rays and other evaluative procedures are performed to prepare the teeth for the proper arch construction. Should any extractions be required, they can be done at this time.
- The patient will undergo full sedation during the procedure. Four small holes will be drilled into the patient’s jawbone, with each hole having a metal anchor inserted into the hole. Over time, the bone will grow around the implants, solidly securing them into place with your mouth.
- The new teeth are attached to the implants using caps, similar to the appearance of a crown.
- Our dentist will make any necessary final adjustments.
